* finally had the time to post something on our blog. Will try to post as often as I can. I'm not a blogger though. Just trying my best to document most of the experiences, decisions and stuff that we will have during or even after our wedding preps. :)
*Late post .
Since we're officially engaged and our wedding is finally set for next year, we are now "allowed" to attend bridal fairs/wedding expos. Yay! :) I've been wanting to go to bridal fairs since I started seeing billboards and ads about it. So since it was our first bridal fair experience, all I wanted was to go there and experience it for myself. I didn't prepare a thing nor set any expectation before going. Two things I promised myself though, avoid booking on the spot unless you're very sure about the supplier and don't get carried away with freebies.
So together with our "favorite third-wheeler" Apple, we attended Themes and Motifs' Biggest Wedding Fair last Sept 13, 2014. We went to SMX right after we booked our reception venue. (Will post about our venue on a separate post). Since that day was a Saturday, we were all puyat since we came from our night shifts. ( Goodluck with that!) But then I didn't let my tiredness consume me. My excitement was stronger than my sleepiness and tiredness combined. :p
Once we arrived at the venue, we went straight to Hizon's Catering's booth for our scheduled food tasting. The food was actually good. I didn't note everything that we tasted and didn't take enough pictures too but what I can say about their food is in general, they were all good. I just didn't like their styling that much. The photos they showed me are all too simple for my liking. So if we were to book them and with all my kikayan and arte, it will cost us more if I am to hire an event stylist. For CJ naman, He didn't like the idea of the caterer being too far from Cavite ( Hizon's is based in QC if I remember it correctly), he thought that the food might not be that fresh once they get to the venue. Also even though their basic packages are still within our budget, adding oot fee and other extra charge will surely blow up the cost. So we are now eyeing caterers that are near Cavite.
By the way here are some pics that we took during our FT:

After our Hizon FT experience, we went booth hopping to check other suppliers. Honestly I'm only eyeing suppliers such as invitation supplier, nice giveaways/favor finds, and Town's delight because we've been checking out town's delight since they're located in Cavite. They have a posted promo on their site saying they will give freebies and discounts if we book during the fair.
Anyways, even though photobooth would be one of the last things we wanna book for our wedding I just find Instabooth by Niceprint as a nice and cool thing to get for our wedding. But after weeks of thinking it through, I realized it's quite expensive plus I'm also concerned that the oldies and non-insta friends might not be able to enjoy it or even use it. That's why I think we'd still go for the traditional photobooth or photoman ( walking photobooth?) because the guests can exploit it to their content rather than this instabooth.
Well plus points to the girl at the booth because she was so accommodating and she even let us post and print our intaphotos just by using the hashtag that they require. Here are some pics :D *selfilord alert! :D

One thing I learned about bridal fair-- You will be handed with
lots- i mean tons of pamphlets! lol. Good thing we got a free shopping bag upon registration. I actually kept it and planned on reviewing it once we got home. After a series of pag-uusyoso on different booths and even trying out some favors, we decided to look for an invitation supplier. After tedious hunting, we finally booked our invitation supplier. --- Urbanista invites. I don't really have an invitation supplier in mind. We just browsed through all the different suppliers' display and book the one that has the design that we like--- well it was actually Love who chose it. Here's the pic: Oh by the way the layout will still be modified. I don't like the actual lay out though. We just want the idea of having an invite on a brown envelop tied with a burlap string. We're thinking of a romantic-vintage themed wedding kasi. I don't remember how much we saved by booking them at the fair anymore. I think it's around 10-15php per piece off the normal price. Lastly, we went to Town's Delight's booth and check their offer.( this was after we had a meeting with our official wedding photographer, it was outside the fair since they were not an exhibitor for that fair-- this, I will blog about soon). I already know Town's Delight's current wedding package rates and I've been talking to Ms. Gina for while na din even before that day, so I only got a few questions in mind. She said they offer a discounted price of minus 50php per head and free candy buffet if we book that day. So after a few Q@As we finally paid the reservation fee of 5k and off we go. Oops we ate at SM Moa pa pala.
Overall it was a very tiring but fulfilling day. We were able to book our invitation, caterer and photographer that day. We got home at around 10pm. Talk about being awake for more than 24 hrs. Gaaah! Looking forward for more wedding expos before our big day! :)
